Duties and Responsibilities:

Genetic Counselors work with people who have disorders and birth defects. They counsel people who are risk of these things. They often:

·      Help people to stay healthy and how to best manage their problems.

·      Observe their family histories to determine the likelihood their genetic problems.

·      Help patients in researching decisions about genetic disorders.

·      Conduct researchers about genetic disorders.

·      Inform medical professionals and general public about genetic disorders.

Salary: $23,000-$55,000

Education:

Students who want to become a Genetic Counselor should take a challenging high school curriculum that value science and mathematics.

In my opinion, I wouldn’t want to become a Genetic Counselor because I’m not really good at math and for this job you need to be good at math and I’m not. But this is a really important job so I rather be a patient than to work on this because you need to be really attentive to your patients and alert with things.    CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!
